This will keep it clean and free of dribbles spit-up, and leaky diapers. It’s important to choose a product that is able to be disassembled and partially dismantled, to allow you access to every nook and cranny to conduct a thorough cleaning and sanitising session.
This is vital, since it will ensure that all germs and dirt have been removed. Also, you should ensure that the crib’s sides are securely connected, ensuring there aren’t any gaps or spaces that your child could fall down or get trapped.
You’ll also want to ensure that the crib is easy to clean and that it fits with your bed. This is particularly important in the case of a co-sleeping bedside crib. These cribs are designed to be connected securely to the parent’s side, allowing parents easy access to their baby during the night to feed and comfort their baby while still ensuring the security that separate sleeping areas provide.
When selecting a crib for your bed it is important to consider whether it has extra features that may be beneficial to you. Some cribs tilt or rock, which is ideal for babies who are fussy.

It’s a good idea purchase a brand new mattress for the crib or travel cot rather than relying on one that was passed down or bought second-hand. Mattresses that have been used are more likely to lose their shape over time and increase the risk of SIDS. All new cribs must be compliant with BS EN1130:2019.
